Áttekintés : Az ausztrál rockguru(Nick Cave) és kliprendezője(John Hillcoat) első közös filmje a Ghosts... of the Civil Dead című igaz történeten alapuló börtöndráma. Egy isten háta mögötti maximális biztonságú fegyházban járunk az ausztrál sivatag kellős közepén amit évekre lezártak miután a rabok a fegyőrökre támadtak. Ami az egész filmet igazán zavarba ejtővé teszi hogy (bár a film egyértelműen fikciós darab) a történetet valós események konkrétan a marioni fegyházban történt zavargás és az azt követő 23 éves(!) lezárás ihlették – a rabok ilyenkor nem vagy napi egy-két órára hagyhatják csak el cellájukat.
